In my heart I ask Lord above, please tell me when
Will the promises of a better life be fulfilled
Who finds happiness, then falls in love?
Who becomes infected with the murderous HIV/AIDS
And why are others so lucky to be the ones it passes?
Why do those people get it and others don't?
Why are the infected condemned to die early,
when those who aren't have long lives?

Children all over the world molested and raped
Becoming infected with HIV/AIDS, and affected
By the murderous disease living in their cells
Dancing with joy for achieving another spirit.

Individuals in a "committed relationship"
becoming infected and affected with HIV/AIDS
because the one they love, went behind
their backs to cheat without using protection

Mankind in olden days, sometimes current ones
become infected with the immune deficiency killer
via blood transfusion, even though slim now
because they believed it to be safe

Lost souls looking to ease their pain
have continued to use shared needles
without a second thought, becoming
forever infected with this killer called HIV/AIDS

This being said, AIDS cannot be removed from
ones body, no matter how much one prays for it
to be out of their systems, so that they may
continue to live a long life, with those they love

And not suffer the heartache and pain
of having treatments, with people  noticing
with a "all so knowing glare" the picture
of believing you deserve this murderous disease
